ABOUT ME

Hi, I’m Nasim, an Iranian-American artist with a passion for abstract art, inspired by earthy tones and the minimalist elegance of Japandi aesthetics. Originally born and raised in Tehran, Iran, I began my journey studying math and physics in college—a foundation that might seem worlds apart from art, but to me, they’re beautifully intertwined. The harmony between structure and creativity fuels my unique perspective, blending my Persian heritage with a modern, global sensibility that shines through in my work.

After earning BA in graphic design from Art and Architecture university of Tehran, I spent years honing my craft in the field and traveling and learning, immersing myself in new perspectives that enriched my creative voice. In 2012, I made the bold decision to move to the United States. Seeking peace and the freedom to explore my art more deeply. I’ve since held several solo exhibitions and sold my pieces to collectors, all while balancing a full-time job and building a new life here. In 2024, I took a big step and founded my own company, Coconut Art, offering bespoke services like home staging, personal styling, and custom art pieces.

At my core, I’m a painter who thrives on creating and sharing my work through art shows—it’s what excites me most. My art is a reflection of who I am: rooted in my past, inspired by the present, and always reaching for something new. I’d love for you to experience it firsthand—hopefully, I’ll see you at one of my exhibitions soon!
